.. Lady Warriors to compete in nationals

East Central's Lady Warriors took a 66-62 win over Pearl River last Thursday night to claim their first– ever Region 23 championship. The Lady Warriors will compete at the National NJCAA Women's Tourna– ment in Tyler, Texas, March 15.

Rena Reed. who led in scoring with 19 points, and Evelyn Nelson. who scored 10 points, were named All Region 23. They were earlier selected first team AU-State. See Page 6A for complete story and picture.
