warriors-Win South Division Tourney Topseeded East Central Commun– ity College lived up to its pre– tournament rankings by defeating Pearl River 70..67 Thursday night, thus claiming the MACJC South State championship during finals held at Southwest Mississippi Com– munity College in Summit but fate was in Pearl River's comer as the Lady Wildcats held on for a 78-76 decision. Following the nar– row victory, Pearl River improved to 22-4 whileEC dropped to 21-5. Miller, 15; Marcus Mann, 11; Eric Morgan, 7; Michael Coats, 6; Philip Prince and Cederic Sledge, 3 each. The score was tied 35-35 at halftime.
