Buchanan paid the Federal Bankruptcy Trustee $5 million to settle the question of ownership. Laird Hospital is a 50-bed facility. • Hickory Day has been scheduled for ,June 4. It is sponsored by the Hickory Chamber of Commerce with concessions under the supervision of the Fire Department. Booth space can be reserved at the Hickory Town Hall.
