"Their kids played hard today ... EMCC is a tough team." The loss marked the seventh straight defeat for East Mississippi, which finished the season 3-7. East Central then went on a long eight minute drive to start the fourth quarter and ended it with a 35-yard run by fullback James McGee to put the Warriors ahead 17-10 with 4:52 left in the game. SCOOBA- East Mississippi Community College had one last chance to end a six-game losing streak that started after an upset win over Hawamba in the third game of the season. But the chance shpped through the Lions' fingers, as East Central came into Scooba and spoiled homecoming for EMCC, 17-10. The Warriors continued a trend of their own, finishing the season with a two-game win– ning streak to improve to 2-8. "We have a group of young men w1th heart and character," ECCC head coach Reese Bridgman said. "They have played hard all year and have overcome a lot.
