Melinda Nelson (right) of Decatur has become a member of the 1993-94 East Central Com– munity College women's softbaJI team following scholarship sign– ing ceremonies recentJy held on the ECCC campus. Nelson , shown with her father , Stan Nelson, was a member of the 1993 Newton County High School squad which won the State Class 3A Cham– pionship and posted a 35-10 record.
