MCC women fall The Meridian Community Col– lege Lady Eagles added a loss to Lheu record o f 8-7 in Tennessee with a 76-73 loss to Dyersburg. Meridian, trailing by 15 at the half, cu t the gap to three but could not hang on for the win. Wendy Birchfield led Dyers– burg with a game high 25 points. Sarah Alley also scored in double figures with 13. Melissa Johnson llJ'ld SheilaTaylor both added 10. Meridi an was led by Rhonda Davis with 16. Gretchen Thedktd and Hezel Temple, both scored 14 followed by Allison Mcinnis with 12. • EAST CENTRAL 79, HOL· M ES 55: The Warriors of East Central added another loss to the losing 3-9 record of Holmes Fri– day night. The Warriors were led by Vandy Hopson with 18 points. Tedford Robinson led Holmes with 16. • HOLMES WOMEN 79, EAST CENTRAL 58: The Lady War– riors suffered a crushing defeat by Holmes which now holds a perfect record of 12-0. Holmes led at half time 43-18 and hung on to take a 21 point victory. Holmes leading scorer was Re– l.ha Greer with 20 points. Misty Wright led East Central with 16.
