He rushed for 409 yards and led the Warriors in scoring with 36 points. Byrd also averaged 39.8 yards punting wllh a long kick of 63 yards. As a freshman, Byrd completed 34-of-96 passes for 513 yards and five touchdowns and ran for 422 yards and five touchdowns. Felton Burroughs -the 6-foot, 185-pound defensive back from Thomasville, Ala., had four inter– ceptions. Seventeen area junior college players will take part in the annual MJCA All-Star football game all p.m. Saturday at Keenum Stadium in Booneville. Seven are from East Missis– sippi, six are from East Central, and four are from Jones. ECCC and JCJC are on the South team, while EMCC will represent the North. ECCC's Sammie Holifield ex– pressed a little off-field concern for the four-day event. "I hope the earthquake doesn't get me."
