College plans workshops on business From special reports East Central Community College, through the assistance of the Mississippi Department of Economic Development, announced en– trepreneurial training workshops on " How to Start Your Own Business" throughout the sum– mer on the Decatur campus. "The workshops are ideal for people about to start their own business or for those already in business who may need additional assistance, " said Gene Davis, director of adult and continuing education, whose office is in charge of the sum– mer program. The first session, to be offered at no charge, is entitled, "So, You Want to Start Your Own Business." It will be held from 6-9 p.m., Wednes– day, May 31. Other offerings scheduled, dates, and fees include: Market Research, June 5 and 12, $15 ; Site Selection, June 19, $10; Financing, June 26, $10; Law, July 10, $10; Accounting for Small Business, July 17 and 24, $15; Public Relations and Adver– tising, July 31 and Aug. 7, $15; Salesmanship, Aug. 14, $10; Insurance, Aug. 21, $15; Personnel Management, Aug. 28, $10 ; and, How to Develop a Business Plan, Sept. 11 and 18, $15. All will be held from &-9 p.m. in Room 60, Newton Hall.
