EMCC's 49 points set a new mark ·for the Lions in the series and a new mark for the winning team. EMCC's previous high was 41 in 1969, while the winning total was set by East Central, 48-6 in 1939. ECCC's 35 points set a record for the losing squad. The previous high was 27 set by ECCC in 1981 (31-27). The 84 combined points shat– tered the previous mark of 60 in a 40-20 EMCC win in 1952.
