Warriorettes Fall

The East Central Junior College Warriors and Warriorettes were in action ~Thursday, November 15 with the Trojans and Lady Trojans of Mississippi Delta Junior College. In the first game of the night, the Warriorettes fought hard in hopes of claiming a close game. Louisville led ECJC with 30 points, followed by Sethia Townsend of Lawren– ce with IS points, Beverly Chambers of Lena with 11 points, and Karen Miller of Louisville and Beverly Bowie of Lena with 10 points each. High scorers for Delta were Diana McCollough and San– dra Williams with 21 points, and Leisa Duncan with 18 points. over the Trojans. ECJC maintained the lead with a halftime score of 35-22 and went on to defeat Delta 71-56. Mike Mills of Helena, AR led the Warriors with 14 points, and Dexter Myricks of Carthage with 12 points. High scorers for the Trojans were Kirk Price with 24 points and Earnest Coleman with 13 points. The Warriors now stand 3-0 and the Warriorettes are 0-3.

There will be no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.

The Collegians of East Cen– tral Junior College will hold their annual concert on November 24 at 8 p.m. in Huff Auditorium. They will perform Top 40 songs by Huey Lewis, Cameo, Tina Turner, The Beatles, and many others. Admission is free.

ECJC Christmas Concert December 2 East Central Junior College's Fine Arts Departm~nt will present its annual Christmas concert on Thursday evening, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The program will consist of bo~h sacred and secular Christmas music, ranging from "Country Christ– mas" to the "Hallelujah Chorus." Twenty-seven students will per– form ; Charles W. Hinson will direct the chorus; and Lessa Graham will accompany. The audience will be invited to join in singing the "Hallelujah Chorus" and favorite carols. There will be no admission charge, and the public is encouraged to attend .
