Hudspeth presides over ECJC trustees East Central Junior College's Board of Trustees met on October 8 for the regular monthly meeting. Mr. H.B. Hubspeth, Chairman of the Board presided and presented opening remarks . Mr. Don Howington, Secretary, presented the minutes of the September Board ·:Ineeting which were approved. Mr. Harvey Trapp, Business Manager for ECJC, presented the financial statement and docket of clainis. proposed key items to increase public awareness of East Central. He also mentioned that great in– terest has been shown in the logo and slogan contests and that the chosen represenetation will be unveiled during Homecoming activities. Curriculum changes in Data Prbcessing Technology and Automotive Mechanics were presented by Dr. Tucker. The changes will be presented to the Junior College Commission in November for approval.

Approval of the Board was given for the proposed 1986-87 and 1987-88 general college calendars, which were presented by Dr. B.J. Tucker. Dr. Smith reported on the reorganization of the support of ECJC. He announced that Mrs. June Vaughn will join the staff as an accountant in the Business Office on November 1.

Bids 'on various items were disclosed and contracts awarded to : Martha N. Miley, representing Nationwide Insurance Company– insurance on College-owned vehicles; Tally Student Services– printing of the College catalog; Office Supply Company-check
