Newell said a plotter costing approximately $4,000 will be purchased for the Drafting Depart– ment and an engine analyzer for Auto Mechanics costing about $15,000 will be purchased from previously mentioned funds should Special Funds not be approved. Newell said additional funding has been verbally approved for the following programs: Drafting and Design, $35,000; Machine Shop, $32,500; Metal Trades (at Philadel– phia-Neshoba County Vo-Tech Center), $15,000; and Intensive Business (also at Philadelphia– Neshoba County Vo-Tech Center), $18,420 for a total of $100,920 in expected funding. The Vo-Tech director said East Central Junior College has also received a Job Training Partnership Act Related Studies Contract in the amount of $10,000 which will be used to supplement the salary of the remedial instructor. Funding was made available through the Governor's Office of Federal-State Programs and the Division of Vocational-Technical Education. John Adcock, Vo-Tech counselor, said there are 145 students enrolled in the Vocational studies program and 239 enrolled in the Technical studies program. Adcock noted there is a substantial increase in the Technical program enrollment as compared to the Spring 1986 semester when 180 students were enrolled.
