Dr. Smith Named To Criteria Review Committee

The Executive Director said this year's Committee, as authorized by the Executive Council of the Commission on Colleges, is charge dwiththe task of reviewing several committee reports concerning changes to the Criteria as well as clarifying questions of interpre– tation. The Committee's recommend– ations will be presented to the Executive council and the Commis– sion on Colleges for approval prior to submission to the College Dele– gate Assembly at the December 1987 Annual Meeting. In a related matter, another honor bestowed upon Dr. Smith, who represents the state's Junior Colleges on the Association's_Com– mission on Colleges, has been selected chairman of all the Commissioners from Mississippi who serve on the Commission of Colleges.

Dr. Eddie M. Smith, President, East Central Junior College in Decatur, has been named to serve on the 1987 Criteria Review Com– mittee of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, announced James T.
