ECJC women's basketball New faces will be seen in the East (.;entral .Junior (.;ollege women's basketball, team as they take the floor in their opening game with Meridian Junior College at Meridian on November 7. Gone are ten graduating Sophomores. That group included the leading scorer in the state Mattie Burnside of Noxapater who is playing at Northeast Louisiana University and outstanding point guard Pam Coleman of Carthage. Warrior coach Lucille Wood ls busy finding the right combination to put on the floor. New types of offense and a new game plan will have to be put into operation because of lack of size to play the typical East Central game. This will be an exciting team to watch and CoachWood is pleased with the progress of the team. Although the ten Freshmen are having to take responsibilities early, the team ls expected to get better with each game as experience is gained from game situations. Members of the team are: (first row, left to right) Jennifer Hatcher of Louisvllle, Regina McCoy of )lorton, Carol Smith of Morton, Lisa Ann LaBarbera of Amite, LA, Carla Stewart of Philadelphia, Mary Ann Parker of Walnut Grove, Joy Eichelberger of Louisville, (second row, left to right) DaynaWilliamson of Philadelphia, Wanda Jooksey ot Lake, Brenda Cook of Carthage, Beverly Chambers of Lena, Ellee V' ee Gilmer of Carthage, Carolyn W~lngton of Reform, AL, and TeresaGriffin 1f Walnut Grove. ~
