1 Lady Warriors Warriors Lose Twice
The ECJC Lady Warrior man- aged to split in basketball action this past week defeating Hinds 75-67 then losing to Utica 72-66. The Warriors of East Central fell victim to Hinds 91-83 and then lost In the Hinds game, the Lady Warriors led by 1 at half time, 4n-39, before taking control in the cond half to win by 8. Four players scored in double figures a s Karen Miller led with 16 points. Miller was aided by 13 points from Barbara Jones, 12 points from Sethia Townsend, and 12 points from Anita Union. Leading the Lady Eagles of Hinds was Shirley Against the Lady Bulldogs of Utica, East Central Warriorettes re leading the game until an injury forced Sethia Townsend to the bench. Without Townsend in the line up, the Lady Warriors could not keep pace with Utica in the second half and eventually lost the game 72-66. For the Lady arriors, Karen Miller had 17 to Utica 105-67. Walker with 21 points.
