WOOD SELECTED

Miss Lucille Wood, women's basketball coach at East Central Junior College was selected to be coach of the South All-Star team along with Sue Ross of Gulfcoast Junior College. This is the first year for the women to have a women's Junior College All-Star Team. Miss Wood is a native of Louisville, where she graduated from high school. She holds the AA Degree from East Central Junior College and the BS and MA " Degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. Since 1966 when women's basketball was organized on a limited basis, Miss Wood's teams have achieved a 116-52 record. They were State Champio,ns in 1970, 1973, and 1976. In 1976 they were North Division ~hamps and in 1977 placed second in the State.
