ECJC HOLDS FIRST MAm SEMINAR
The first annual Mathematics Contest and Seminar was held at East Central Junior College in Decatur·on Feb. 22 and 23 . Dr. Shelby L. Harris, chairman of the Mathematics Department, served as director for · the seminar. Some 100 students from eleven schools in the ECJC district participated in the seminar. Placing first, second and third places respeftively in team competition were: Carthage High School, South Leake High School and Philadelphia High School. Mark Molpus of Carthage High School placed first in the Individual Competition. Donita Morgan, also of Carthage High School placed second. Third place went to Monroe Clark of Union.
