Warriors dattle To Get Into W u Co1tmn
The Warriors dropped their opening game to Hinds, 13-0, Saturday night in Raymond. But the biggest loss to the Warriors came when Joe Clark, a defensive tackle, and Charles Reeves, flanker, sustained injuries. Clark's was by far the more serious as he has a broken leg and will miss six to eight weeks of play. Reeves' injury is of a less serious nature as he has a sprained ankle and will likely not see action tomorrow night. Pounceyhas slated a tenative lineup, which includes quarterback David Shumake, tailback Guy Nowell, who led the Miss. Jr. College in rushing in 1971; and Rickey Dilley at fullback. Pouncey has not stated who wil start if Reeves is unable to play. ' The offensive line has Scotty Crawlord at center, Bob Smiley and Gene Reed at the guard slots, tackles Timmy Irons and Jerry Johnson. and the ends are Wendell ~ McEIhenney and Pete Lucovick. Scheduled to go defensively for the Warriors are Chris Rowell and Larry Gamblin at the ends, BosticeBaxstrwn at one guard slot with the other as yet unnamed. Eddie Bethune is set for the middle guard nosition. The linebackersare DavidKelly and In Culpepper. The secondary includes Ken Gordon and ~bert Hanna at safety,and cornerbacks Joel ockrel and Lucovick.
