Three one-act plcrvs.. . . EC dinner theater slated Oct. 28,29
The East Central Junior College Players are making preparations for their annual Dinner Theater to be staged Tuesday and Wednesday nights, October 28 and 29, in the Mabry Cafeteria at 7 p.m. The Playreading Commit- tee has selected three one- act plays to be presented. They include "Impromptu", a spontaneous comedy; "An Inspector Answers", a mystery/comedy; and "When Shakespeare's Ladies Meet", a play in which Shakespeare's ladies give advice to young Juliet. In addition to the three one-act plays, the dinner theater will include a buffet style meal prepared by ECJC chef Leonard Lee and a fashion show presenting the ECJC Modeling Squad under The East Central Junior College Department of Music will present Bob Heritage in a faculty recital on Monday, October 27, at 6:15 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The program will include selected songs from Franz Schubert's song cycle "Die Schone Mullerin" (The Maid of the Mill), poetry by Wilhelm Muller. It will be in the form of a lecture-recital and will include explanations of the story, (translations will be provided), descriptions of the accompaniest (which are extremely important in the art of songs of Schubert), and other pertinent histori61 facts. Ms. Alice Davies, a resident of Clinton and a self-employeed piano teacher in Jackson and the Newton area will play the demanding Schubert accompanist. Heritage received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Louisiana College in Pine- ville, LA in 1969. After teaching two years, he -

Other entertain- ment will also include musical selections by the "Collegians", popular sing- ing group at ECJC under the direction of Mr. Bob Herit- age, and an art display by ECJC Art students, Bmce Guraedy, Instructor. Tickets for the dinner theater will be available in the Business Office begin- ning October 21. They may be purchased between 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. Tickets will be $5.00 for the general public. Reservations for outside tickets may be made by calling East Central Junior College at 635-21 11 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Payment must be guarante- ed. ---- 0 ----
