sherry Cater of Gulfport recently accepted to w participate in the 1980 British Studies at Oxford % Program. A junior at Mil- Iii saps College, Miss Cater will study at St. John's College of Dxford University in Oxford, England this summer from July 13-August 19. Students partaking in tho mg r am will attend classes day through Thursday .., study under visiting nofessors. Weekends are eft for the students to travel n England and surrounding ntries. Aiss Cater, a pre-law najor, plans to study Eight- :nth Century Drama and the 4ge of Johnson and Boswell while at Oxford. She has received a scholar- ship from Milsaps College tnd was chosen by the Wilsaps College Selection Committeed to receive a Fellowship offered by the Jackson Branch of the English-speaking Union for use toward Vavel expenses. Miss Cater is the daughter ~f Mr. andrMrs. James V. Cater of Gulfport. Grand- parents are Mr. and Mrs. N.G. Barrett of Decatur and Mr. Vardaman Cater of Conehatta and the late Clara Cater. ---- 0 ----
