Unbeaten ECJC Looks1 I 1 For Toughest T,est Yet By BO KING

DECATUR - So, what if East Central Ju"iiior College h a s picked up two easy victories in as many outings'? As far as coach Ken Pouncey is concerned the Warriors have already played those games and this week is another week, another game and a very dif– ferent opponent. Maybe the toughest East Cen– tral will face all year . . . at least that's what bhe coach of t he defending North Division Junior College Conference champ thinks. Thus far Northwest, East Cen– tral's Thursday night opponent, has won two games and dropped a single contest, that coming last week when the Rangers fell to Pearl River - second rank– ed and undefeated in the South Division. This game could have a lot of bearing on the outcome of this season's North Division crown since both Northwest and East Central are tied with East Mississippi for the lead at pres– ent with 1-0 division records. "They're probably the best team we'll face all year." Pouncey commented Tuesday afternoon. "They've got probably t h e best offensive team in the state, since they've been averaging about 25 or 26 points a game," the red-haired mentor contin– ued. - "They've also got a couple of bhe best running backs in the state, too. "
