KIM WOLVERTON CHERYL YOUNG Two Countians Named To ECJC 'Who's Who'

The 1979-1980 edition of. Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges will carry the names of fif– teen students from - East Central Junior College in their 14th edition of the publication. These students have been selected as being among the country's most outstanding campus leaders. They were selected based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and future potential. These fifteen students join an elite group of students selected from more than 700 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Of the fifteen students selected two are from Car– thage.They are Kim K. Wolverton and Cheryl Ann Young. Kim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack K. Wolverton. He is a graduate of Leake Academy and is majoring ilf Law at EC. He serves aif President of the Student Body Association and is on the varsity baseball team. He is a trainer foc the Varsity Men's Basketball team. Kim was in the musical production of. "Mame" during his fresh- man year. He enjoys baseball, football, basketball, and reading. Cheryl Ann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ray Young and is a graduate of.

Leake Academy. She is majoring in Pre-Er,gineering at EC. She serves as President of. Phi Theta Kappa and participates in in– tramural sports. Cheryl was elected by the student body · during her sophomore year to reign on the 1979-80 Homecoming Court as a Sophomore Maid.
