ECJC To Perform The Musical "Mame"

Pam Rudolph. Philadelphia students in the ECJC orchestra who will help in providing the music will be Angela Hardy, Charles Burkes, Jeff Spears and Cindy Brewer. The opening will be April 9 and will go through April 13. Tickets will go on sale two weeks prior to the opening of the musical in the business office. For more information call 635-2121, Ext. 241.

On April 9 through the 13, East Central Junior College will perform the musical "Mame" . Even though the main cast is very important, .the people behind the scenes also 'help make up the musical, too. This year, the producer of "Mame" is Dr. Charles V. Wright, president of ECJC. Bruce Petterson will serve as the director. Since he is the director, he is in charge of everything that goes into the musical. Two students from EC, Allen Muse of Union and Cindy Hamil of Carthage were chosen as the assistant direc– tors .. These two students will attend all rehearsals and make sure all problems. are solved. The production assistant, Martie Burton of Newton, aids in the production. Debbie Wroten of Decatur, secretary to the director, helps with the secretarial work for the musical. Barry Upton of Walnut Grove and Wesley Collins of Bynum, Ala. will manage the lights the nights of the musical. :,HI The costume; director -, is - Shelia Breedlove of Union. She is in charge of all the different costumes, the fitting, and the selection. Sherri Langford of Carthage is her assistant. Angela Hardy of Philadel– phia will be in charge of the tickets. Danny Faulkner of Carthage is her assistant. They will sell the tickets in Mr. Petterson's office, see that the seats are arranged in order, and the people get their tickets the night of the performances. ,. The set crew includes Claud Massey of Little Rock, chair– man, Delvin Jones of Philadel– phia , Charles Parker of Decatur, Kirk Blocker of Carthage, and Steve Myatt of Philadelphia. These men wjll see that the stage is arranged correctly for each scene. Dink Hight of Philadelphia will be in charge of make-up the nights of the musical. She and her committee will see that each member of the cast has on the right amount of make-up. In chargeof publicity is Rita Gayle Smith of Union and Randy Trest of Forest.
