Dr. Chris Gilmer (’85) was recently selected president of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. He previ ously served as executive director of Alcorn State University in Vicksburg and vice president for academic affairs at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colo. He has 25 years’ experience in higher education.

Peter Peterson (’08) was named as sistant sales coordinator for Taylor Machine Works, Inc., in Louisville. Ryan Reeves (’08) has joined Peoples Bank as vice president and small business administration development officer. While based in Richland, Reeves is expected to work with customers all over the state and surrounding areas. Reeves had been affiliated with Com munity Bank of Mississippi, Forest, prior to joining Peoples Bank. Karl Robinson (’08) , a former War rior basketball player from 2006-08, recently formed 3DBasketball, LLC, whose mission statement is to “de velop outstanding athletes, which then become outstanding citizens in their classrooms, communities and cities.” He said in a recent article with Jackson Free Press, he tries to instill the three Ds in players and to help them use them in every aspect of life: Desire, Discipline and Dedication. Robinson currently serves as assistant coach for girls’ junior varsity basketball at Clinton Christian Academy. He and his wife, Karen Bates-Robinson, have three children: Karleigh, Karlson, and Karter.

Jim McAdory (’91) recently joined the staff of the Mississippi State University Extension

Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, where he has been on staff for more than 30 years. He specialized in medical and surgical ophthalmology for 34 years with Meridian Ophthalmic Associates. Randy (’74) and Pat Dilley (’75) of For est were selected Citizens of the Year by the Forest Area Chamber of Com merce. As part of the honor, the Dilleys served as Grand Marshals of the 2018 Forest Christmas Parade and were also honored with a reception the evening before the parade at the City Gallery at Colbert Commons in downtown Forest. The Dilleys have been Forest residents for 41 years. They have three sons, Daniel, Jim and Jess, and five grand children. Longtime Leake Academy basketball coach Phil Shepard (’79) was recently inducted into the Mississippi Indepen dent School Association’s Hall of Fame.

Regena Boykin (’98) of Conehatta, as sociate director for technology man agement at ECCC, was selected to serve on the Jenzabar One Advisory Group for Advising. Jenzabar is the college’s administrative software provider. Mem bership includes representatives from the customer base who have demon strated an in-depth understanding of the Jenzabar One Advising Module. High School. He previously served as interim head coach during the 2018 season where he led the Tornadoes to an appearance in the third round of the MHSAA Class 3A playoffs. Kristian Swearingen (’07) was recently named Teacher of the Year at Neshoba Central Middle School. She is a seventh grade language arts teacher. Originally from Noxapater, she is a graduate of Grace Christian School in Louisville and received her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi University for Women. Meagan Perry Hall (’17) of Walnut Grove was named Outstanding Under graduate Student for Mississippi State University-Meridian’s Division of Busi ness during the university’s fall 2018 commencement ceremony.

He will be recognized with a host of other outstanding alumni by the MSU Alumni Association at an an nual awards event on March 1, 2019.
