Longtime ECCC instructor Dr. Richard Ethridge died July 22, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Funeral Services were held July 24, 2018, at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church in Decatur. Burial was in Decatur Cemetery. Dr. Ethridge completed 37 years as a social science instructor at ECCC and also served as division chairman. Ethridge Hall was dedicated in his honor May 9, 1998. Among his honors were Instructor of the Year, Outstanding Humanities faculty member, HEADWAE Instructor of the Year, and Lamplighter. He also taught graduate level courses at the Meridian branch locations for the University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi State University. He was an ordained minister and served as interim pastor of several Mississippi Baptist congregations, including Clarke-Ven able Baptist Church in Decatur. InMemoriam-Faculty Nancy Hiett Harris Former ECCC Dean of Nursing Nancy Auline Hiett Har ris died July 8, 2018. Services were held July 10, 2018, in the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia. Burial followed in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Harris’ nursing career expanded over 26 years and she was instrumental in starting and directing the Associate Degree Nursing program at East Central. InMemoriam-Faculty Martha Quinton Graham Martha Quinton Graham, a longtime educator and psy chology instructor at ECCC, died Aug. 12, 2018. Services were held Aug. 15, 2018, at Decatur United Methodist Church with burial in Decatur City Cemetery. • •
