CAREER PROGRAMS The following East Central Community College Career Programs are designed to teach the students a trade. A certificate is issued upon satisfactory completion of one of the programs. These programs are scheduled to meet six hours a day, five days a week, unless otherwise specified in the course description. Classroom activities in each career and related fields, as well as laboratory experiences are given each student. A career learning lab is provided to enhance instruction in reading and mathematics. CARPENTRY TECHNOLOGY (CCT) Advisor: James Boykin The Carpentry Technology program is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment. It provides training in the basic and advanced skills needed to have a successful career in the field of residential carpentry. The training in this course is centered around technical knowledge and hands-on experience in all the stages of construction from foundations and framing to finish carpentry and cabinet making.
