H.2 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF INTRAMURAL SPORTS AND STUDENT ACTIVI TIES General Statement of the Function : The Assistant Director of Student Activities assists the Director of Student Activities in all phases of the College’s activities program. 1. Performs day-to-day supervision of the Student Activity Center during hours determined by the Director of Student Activities, the Vice President for Student Services, and the incumbent; 2. Helps direct the recreational activities within the Activity Center; 3. Insures that equipment and facilities are properly maintained; 4. Programs, schedules, and supervises competition among students in individual sports (pool, ping-pong, table tennis, etc.); 5. Enforces Student Activity Center policies concerning student conduct and participation to correspond with acceptable college standards; 6. Helps ensure maximum participation and equal opportunity to participation by all students without regard to race or sex; 7. Assists with the supervision of student workers in the intramural sports programs and the Student Activity Center; 8. Helps ensure that adequate facilities and equipment are available for conducting programmed activities of the Student Activity Center; 9. Assists in scheduling the Student Activity Center for special functions by campus organizations (dances, blood drives, etc.); 10. Assists with preparation of budgets, detailing requirements for each fiscal year; and 11. Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Student Services. Duties and Responsibilities :
