D.46 DIRECTOR OF ELEARNING EDUCATION

General Statement of the Function : The Director of eLearning Education is responsible for: coordinating and maintaining eLearning and Dual Enrollment for East Central Community College; working closely with the eLearning/Dual Enrollment instructors; providing staff development for eLearning/Dual Enrollment instructors; reviewing all courses taught and making recommendations to the Vice President for Instruction; coordinating all student procedures related to eLearning or Dual Enrollment; and representing East Central at the state level for the Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC). The Director of eLearning Education reports directly to the Vice President for Instruction. 1. Provides overall coordination for the teaching and learning activities of the eLearning and Dual Enrollment programs; 2. Provides leadership in evaluating the eLearning program and recommending improvements to the eLearning program to the Vice President for Instruction; 3. Provides leadership in evaluating the Dual Enrollment program and recommending improvements to the Dual Enrollment program to the Vice President for Instruction; 4. Assists the Vice President for Instruction with orienting, selecting, and training faculty who teach eLearning Education classes; 5. Collaborates with Deans/Directors/Division Chairs to ensure cohesion of instruction and assessment methods in traditional, hybrid, and online courses; Duties and Responsibilities :

6. Plans, coordinates and implements all training for instructional technology at the College;

7. Serves as the College’s main point of contact for the MSVCC;

8. Makes policy and procedure recommendations to the Vice President for Instruction regarding the College’s eLearning and Dual Enrollment programs; 9. Coordinates with personnel at the Mississippi Community College Board (MCCB) with regard to all MSVCC teaching and learning issues and policies and keeps abreast of changes in state and national policies;

10. Provides coordination for all non-credit online training;

11. Works with the administration in the development of policies and guidelines for the College’s eLearning and Dual Enrollment programs;

12. Manages the processing of MSVCC Host Requested Courses;

13. Supervises data entry of course information into the MSVCC delivery system;

14. Supervises and reviews verification of audit reports for eLearning classes;

15. Assists with verification of the accuracy of eLearning Education and Dual Enrollment programs;
