D.35 MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

General Statement of the Function : The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Office of Public Information in overall internal and external college marketing, communications, and advertising initiatives, as well as coordinating production of the college newspaper, The Tom-Tom , and the college yearbook, the WO-HE-LO . The Marketing Communications Coordinator reports directly to the Vice President for Public Information.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Serves as coordinator of The Tom-Tom , the college newspaper; 2. Serves as coordinator of the WO-HE-LO , the college yearbook; 3. Appoints and supervises the scholarship and volunteer student staffs of the college newspaper and yearbook. 4. Provides photography, copy writing, and graphic design assistance for the production of the college newspaper and the college yearbook; 5. Coordinates and provides photography and graphic design for the college’s marketing, communications, and advertising initiatives, in conjunction with the Vice President for Public Information; 6. Coordinates content for the college’s various social media platforms, in conjunction with the Vice President for Public Information, Director of External Relations, and Sports Information Director; 7. Provides graphic design for The Warrior alumni magazine and the President’s Report ; 8. Assists in providing content and updates for the college’s website; 9. Assists in taking and editing videos for use on the college website, social media, television, and other media; 10. Attends and takes photos of various College events and activities including those that are held in the evenings and on weekends; 11. Provides assistance with college live stream productions as needed; 12. Takes drone video to support college marketing and communication efforts; 13. Assists the Vice President for Public Information with crisis and emergency communications, including implementation of Warrior Alert; 14. Assists with other Office of Public Information internal and external communications initiatives as needed; and 15. Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Public Information.
