22. Prepares and monitors all aspects of budget; 23. Monitors contract compliance and cooperative agreements; 24. Monitors and approves purchasing to meet program needs and the OAE requirements; 25. Advocates and promotes adult education program within community; 26. Builds partnerships to enhance the availability, quality, and delivery of services; 27. Participates in local organizations and initiatives (Local Workforce Innovation Boards, Career Centers, local chambers, etc.); 28. Models professional behavior and requires other staff members to act in a professional manner; 29. Promotes the philosophy, goals, and objectives of adult education at local, state, and national levels; 30. Promotes an environment in which cultural and philosophical diversity is valued and appreciated; 31. Cultivates an atmosphere of respect for all staff and students; 32. Provides instructional and administrative leadership; 33. Recruits and retains students to meet local and state performance goals; 34. Participates in required professional development activities; 35. Adheres to the expectations for program directors in professional development guidelines’ requirements; 36. Ensures the use of technology resources by all instructors to engage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning; 37. Assesses personal strengths and weaknesses of staff as a basis for developing a professional development plan; 38. Pursues professionalism and continually builds knowledge and skills by: processing content area knowledge and teaching skills required for subjects and populations taught; participating in professional development networks and learning communities; refining instructional practices through reflection on experience, evidence, and data; and participating in and contributing to program improvement efforts; and 39. Performs other duties as assigned by the College.
