C.11 SECONDARY STUDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR – PHILADELPHIA-NESHOBA COUNTY CAREER-TECHNICAL CENTER General Statement of the Function : The Secondary Student Services Coordinator at the Philadelphia Neshoba County Career-Technical Center reports directly to the Director of the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Career-Technical Center. The Secondary Student Services Coordinator will teach and coordinate the Student Services program, as prescribed by the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the College, at the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Career-Technical Center. 1. Conduct themselves and their family affairs so as to always bring credit to the school and to the community; 2. Participate in professional organizations and other activities that upgrade and contribute to professional growth; 3. Support and encourage the school sponsored extracurricular activities; 4. Support and participate in the community affairs that contribute to the total well-being of the school, the community, and the individual teacher; 5. Counsel any student who seeks or needs assistance; 6. Assist in maintaining standards of conduct and discipline for the student as set forth by the institution; 7. Follow established policies and procedures of the institution to enhance instruction, facilitate administration, and to bring about student well-being; 8. Teach effectively all students so that each student will have an opportunity to achieve the objectives of each course and the goals of the College at large in order to become a more complete, useful, and productive citizen; 9. Keep accurate records of student progress and student class attendance and prepare appropriate reports as needed; 10. Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and reviewing the programs of the school to ensure continuous improvement; 11. Submit budget requests during the budget revision process; 12. Submit purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment as needed; 13. Supervise students at all times; 14. Attend all scheduled faculty meetings and division/departmental meetings; 15. Be responsible for initiating and organizing craft committee meetings; 16. Be responsible for program equipment maintenance and equipment transfer and disposal; 17. Identify and assess special population students; 18. Provide additional instruction to special populations career-technical students; 19. Support special populations students with services to meet the needs of each identified student; 20. Complete all required forms and submit to the appropriate local, district, or state officials; 21. Actively participate in all IEP meetings at the feeder schools for career-technical students; 22. Provide accommodations to career-technical students who have an IEP or 504 plan; and 23. Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrative personnel. Duties and Responsibilities :
