DIRECTOR FOR FACILITIES PLANNING & PROJECT MANAGER

General Statement of the Function : The Director for Facilities Planning & Project Manager is responsible for all new construction and renovations on the college campus. The Director for Facilities Planning & Project Manager reports directly to the President. Duties and Responsibilities : 1. Responsible for the oversight of all new construction and renovations for the college; 2. Acts as the “Owner’s Representative” in dealing with architects, contractors, and material suppliers; 3. Manages the College’s energy management program including submission of reports for the State Energy Management Plan (SEMP); 4. Monitors the condition of campus roofs and elevators and submits required reports regarding their condition to the State of Mississippi; 5. Prepares and submits the annual Inventory of Buildings to the State of Mississippi; and

6. Acts as the College’s contact for MS 811 locate services; 7. Prepares all items submitted for bid through govdeals; 8. Performs other duties as assigned by the President.
