VICE PRESIDENT FOR STUDENT SERVICES

General Statement of the Function : The Vice President for Student Services is responsible for the administration and supervision of all aspects of the Student Services Program including, but not limited to, student recruiting, financial aid, admissions, career services, campus police, housing, and student activities. The Vice President for Student Services reports directly to the President of the College.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Manages the annual Student Services budget; 2. Coordinates the student recruitment program for the College; 3. Coordinates the College’s student registration and orientation programs; 4. Ensures the College is in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); 5. Directs the financial aid program of the College, including federal, state, and institutional programs through the Director of Financial Aid; 6. Directs the career development program of the College through the Career Center Director/ Recruiter; 7. Ensures campus safety through the Dean of Students and the Campus Police Force; 8. Directs the student activities program and the intramural program of the College through the Director of Housing and Student Activities; 9. Directs the student Residence Hall program of the College through the Director of Housing and Student Activities; 10. Coordinates campus blood drives and other health-related campus activities through the Director of Housing and Student Activities, the Warrior Wellness Coordinator, and the Campus Police Chief; 11. Supervises the student discipline procedures of the College with the assistance of the Dean of Students; 12. Coordinates campus elections with the assistance of the Director of Housing and Student Activities; 13. Directs wellness initiatives on and off campus through the Warrior Wellness Coordinator; 14. Assists with the collection of student services data, the evaluations of all student services programs, the completion of all reports pertaining to student services, and any relevant research that will enhance student services programs; 15. Co-sponsors the Presidents Council, and supervises, in cooperation with student organization sponsors, all student organizations of the College; 16. Supervises special events including Awards Day, banquets, cookouts, special meals, and the social aspects of the College’s food services program in cooperation with the College’s food services provider; 17. Coordinates the College’s student grievance and complaint procedures;

18. Supervises the production of the Student Handbook; 19. Maintains all appropriate student personnel records; 20. Attends meetings of the Board of Trustees; 21. Chairs the Student Services Council; and 22. Performs other duties as assigned by the President of the College.
