The Employee accepts employment with the College under the following Terms and Conditions:

Is Employee currently employed with or through a State Agency?

o The Employee agrees and understands that this is a temporary appointment and services rendered under this part-time/special employment agreement do not constitute services entitling the Employee to continued or full-time employment. o If this agreement includes additional duties for a currently contracted employee of the College, the Employee understands the additional duties and compensation addressed in this Part-time/Special Employment Agreement do not constitute a separate contract of employment which is expressly prohibited by Section 25-4-105(3)(a) of the Mississippi Code , rather an amendment to the sole contract of employment already entered in for the current academic year. o If this agreement includes additional duties for a full-time employee of the College, the Employee understands and agrees that he/she will perform the work listed above outside normal working hours as the College cannot compensate the Employee for additional work performed during normal working hours. o The Employee agrees and understands that this part-time/special appointment is “a t w ill” for the duties required for the aforementioned position and may be terminated by the College or the Employee at any time during the term of this appointment. o The Employee agrees and understands that compensation shall be distributed as described in the ECCC Policies and Procedures Manual and will be subject to withholding for (1) State and Federal Income Tax, (2) FICA, and (3) State Retirement (if applicable).

o The Employee agrees and understands that he/she will perform the duties required for the aforementioned position in a location designated by the College and that he/she is not to be absent from duty without the prior approval of his/her supervisor. o The Employee agrees to satisfactorily perform his/her assigned duties as required by the College, to work in harmony with other employees of the College, and to abide by all policies and procedures of the ECCC District as set forth in the Policies and Procedures Manual.

o In the event College housing is required of the Employee during the effective period of this appointment, then the Employee shall occupy the designated college housing during the period of this appointment and the Employee agrees to vacate said housing upon termination of employment.

The Employee acknowledges that he/she has read and understands all conditions of his/her employment as described above in this Part-Time/Special Employment Agreement.
