Policy Title: ADVISEMENT

Faculty members serve as academic/technical/career advisors in their particular teaching areas. Advisors are selected from the teaching faculty according to teaching curricula/division and are well qualified to assist the student in planning his/her academic/technical/career path. All students are assigned an advisor in the student’s program emphasis area. Frequent meetings are encouraged, and the students are urged to keep in touch with their advisors on matters pertaining to their academic or career-technical pathway. By careful planning, students can find and pursue the pathway most helpful in their chosen program emphasis area Students have access to their daily grades in the college’s Learning Management System. Students can monitor their attendance and check their mid-term grades in real time on MyEC.
