Policy Title: RECRUITMENT OF STUDENTS

The responsibility of recruitment is supervised by the Vice President for Student Services. All high schools in the district are visited at least three times each year by an East Central Community College representative. Faculty members may be asked to visit certain high schools also (refer to Policy 741.21, FACULTY INVOLVEMENT WITH STUDENT RECRUITMENT). In the spring, East Central has numerous special recruitment events that involve faculty, staff, and the administration. Student Services’ personnel and other designated college personnel participate in the year-round recruitment program that includes contacting prospective students by personal letter, telephone, or a personal visit.
