Policy Title: TOBACCO-FREE POLICY

East Central Community College is committed to providing a safe and healthy working and learning environment for the students, faculty, staff, and visitors on its campus; therefore, the college has adopted the following tobacco-free policy, effective January 1, 2016. “This policy prohibits use of all tobacco products including smoke-emanating (electronic) and smokeless products on all campuses of East Central Community College including, but not limited to, campus buildings; campus housing; community areas; campus parking lots; college-owned vehicles, regardless of location; and privately-owned vehicles while on campus. This policy applies to all students, faculty, staff, and other persons on campus, regardless of the purpose for their visit. Violators of the policy will be disciplined through the disciplinary system. For students, repeated infractions may result in expulsion; for employees, repeated infractions may result in termination of employment; for visitors, infractions may result in removal from campus property.”
