Policy Title: REVENUE

All revenue shall be receipted to the community college, utilizing pre-numbered receipts which state the amount, source, and function. The general receipts are maintained in bound books in the Business Office. The duplicate copy of the accounts receivable receipts is maintained with the daily transactions of accounts in the Business Office as well as in the monthly subsidiary accounts receivable ledger. Under no circumstances shall monies be deposited to any bank account without a proper receipting of such monies. The Board of Trustees designates those person(s) within the community college authorized to deposit monies in bank(s) and communicates the names of those person(s) authorized to the bank(s). All revenues are receipted to the proper accounts according to the General Ledger Classification Codes and Object Codes as identified in the Public Community and Junior College Financial Accounting Manual, Office of the State Auditor, State of Mississippi. The following are the major categories of revenue with the sources of revenue associated with each category:

TUITION AND FEES

Tuition, Out-of-district/Out-of-state - Academic Tuition, Out-of-district/Out-of state - Career-Technical Matriculation - Academic Matriculation - Career-Technical Tuition, Summer School - Academic Tuition, Summer School - Career-Technical Laboratory Fees Career-Technical Fees Application Fees Activity Fees Other Student Fees

GOVERNMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS

Federal Appropriations

The College will assign numbers as needed.

State Appropriations

Community/Junior College Appropriations - Academic Community/Junior College Appropriations - Career Community/Junior College Appropriations - Evening, Part-time, and Summer Associate Degree Nursing Workforce Development Center Advanced Training Centers Dropout Recovery Initiative Health and Life Insurance Bureau of Building, Grounds, and Real Property Management (Bond Funds)
