The Accounting Technology Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level accounting positions in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory as well as enhance the skills of persons currently employed in accounting who wish to advance. The program provides a foundation for students transferring to a four-year college or university to pursue a specialized degree in the field. * Prior to enrollment in Microsoft Word® I (BOT 1233), students will be required to key straight-copy material at a minimum of 35 GWPM, on a 5-minute timed writing, with a maximum of 1 error per minute. Students who do not demonstrate this level of proficiency will be required to enroll in Introduction to Keyboarding (BOT 1013).
