All applicants are required to take the American College Test (ACT), meet all College general admission requirements and Associate Degree Nursing program requirements, and hold a current, unencumbered license. Applications for the Licensed Practical Nursing To Associate Degree Nursing Bridge program may be obtained on-line at https://www.eccc.edu/lpn-adn-transition-program in August of each year. The application deadline for Spring classes are October 1st. All entrance materials must be on file in the Office of Admissions and Records and the Office of Healthcare Education by October 1st each year. Admission Requirements 1. The applicant must apply for regular admission and be accepted by ECCC. 2. The applicant must apply to the Licensed Practical Nurse Transition to Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. 3. The applicant must submit proof of a minimum ACT composite score of 18. 4. The applicant must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00 or higher.4. 5. The applicant must have completed all pre-requisite courses with a grade of “C” or better. 6. The applicant must provide a current unrestricted license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Mississippi. 7. All applicants are required to pay the College’s business office for pre-admission fees, which may include, but not limited to, pre-admission examination and criminal history background fees. The receipt for payment is due to the Office of Healthcare Education by October 1st of each year. 8. All applicants are required to take a pre-admission examination test as specified by the Office of Healthcare Education. 9. The applicant must have one-year clinical work experience within the last five years; documentation from employer(s) must be submitted with application. 10. The applicant must score 100% on dosage calculation test given prior to admission. 11. All applicants selected for admission into the ADN program must submit proof of the following items: 12. Physical examination obtained by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner in November or December prior to year of admission. 13. Proof of immunizations against measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), or rubella titer. 14. Hepatitis B vaccine, or titer, or signed declination statement Tuberculosis (TB) skin test (Two-step TB test is required if not tested in previous 12 months); or QuantiFERON®-TB Gold In-Tube blood test (within last 12-months); or chest x-ray prescribed by a physician. 15. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers card (completed in June or July of admission year). 16. Valid proof of age to be eighteen (18) years or older (Accepted forms of validation include current driver’s license, birth certificate, state-issued identification, or tribal identification). 17. All applicants must agree to submit fingerprints for criminal history background check as scheduled by the Office of Healthcare Education. *Note: All submissions except fingerprinting are due in the Office of Healthcare Education on or before October 1 of the year prior to admission. The number of students admitted into the program will vary according to resources available. Qualified applicants for the LPN Transition to ADN Program are considered on a competitive basis. Meeting
