Designed to teach the fundamental principles of playing, explore varied levels of literature and develop the student’s interest in playing. One semester hour credit. MUA 1421 — CLASS PERCUSSION II — Percussion instruction for music majors and non-music majors. Designed to teach the fundamental principles of playing, explore varied levels of literature and develop the student’s interest in playing. One semester hour credit. MUA 1441 — ELECTIVE PERCUSSION I — Percussion instruction for non-percussion/music education majors. Designed to teach the fundamental principles of playing, explore moderate levels of literature and develop the student’s interest in playing. One semester hour credit. MUA 1451 — ELECTIVE PERCUSSION II — Percussion instruction for non-percussion/music education majors. Designed to teach the fundamental principles of playing, explore moderate levels of literature and develop the student’s interest in playing. One semester hour credit. MUA 1472 — PERCUSSION FOR MUSIC EDUCATION MAJORS I — Percussion instruction for music education majors with an emphasis on percussion instrumental playing. Designed to teach the fundamental principles of playing, explore moderate to advanced levels of literature and develop the student’s interest in playing. Two semester hours credit. MUA 1482 — PERCUSSION FOR MUSIC EDUCATION MAJORS II — Percussion instruction for music education majors with an emphasis on percussion instrumental playing. Designed to teach the fundamental principles of playing, explore moderate to advanced levels of literature and develop the student’s interest in playing. Two semester hours credit. MUA 1511 — CLASS PIANO I — Class study in keyboard training is designed for students who have had no previous piano instruction. Fundamentals are taught, through class participation and discussion, including major and minor scales, chord progressions, harmonization of melodies, open score reading, accompanying, transposition and elementary repertoire. This plan may, upon arrangement with the instructor, include individual instruction. One semester hour credit. MUA 1521 — CLASS PIANO II — Class study in keyboard training is designed for students who have had no previous piano instruction.
