East Mississippi CC splits with Northwest Mississippi CC

ECCC (14-2, 5·2) will be back in action Thursday at home against Meridian.

DECATUR - Prince McDaniel scored 20 points and Quinton Camp– bell recorded 19 points as East Central Community hung on to top Southwest Mississippi Community College 73-63 in MAC] action Monday night. The Warriors led at halftime 38-32. For ECCC (8-8, 3-4), Isaiah Traylor chipped in with 12 points. East Central will be back in action Thursday night when it hosts Meridian Community Col· lege. After possessing just a three-point lead at the half, the East Central Community women's bas– ketball team blew past Southwest Miss. Commu– nity College in the second half to ~n 95-70. Four s eparate Lady Warriors recorded double-figures in scoring, led by Tashi-Ana Thompson's 19 points. Additionally, Samantha Duncan scored 18 points, JalesiaJones recorded 17, and Sh ekerya Morrison and Alexia McDonald chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively. SECOND HALF SURGE

EMCC MEN RECORD WIN

SCOOBA - Jahyde Gardiner recorded his seventh double-double of the season as he poured in 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in East Mississippi Community College's 77-70 win over Northwest Mississippi Community College. Chris Rhoney recorded 13 points, · Antonio Finley added 12 and Daniel Simmons chipped in with 10 points. East Mississippi led at the half 40-31. EMCC (12-4, 5-1) will host Northeast Missis– sippi Community College Thursday. Ki-Ki Patterson scored 21 points and Camry Jones added 13 but it wasn't enough as the EMCC women fell to Northwest 69-60. NMCC Jed at the half 41-31.
