Health Sciences Q>re Students Attend Healthfest Health Sciences Core students at Winston-Louisville Career andTechnole>gt Center attend– ed the Healthfest at ECCC on Thursday, October 22nd. Students had the opportunity to tour all of the health programs offered at ECCC and hear directly from students In the programs about each one. The students also participated in a texting and driving activity to showthe negative Impacts that this can have on one's concentration. A texting and drivingscene was shown to the stu– dents and simulation of how each healthcare professional assists in the care of the injured/fatalitiesduringa traumatic accident. Students in Health Sciences Q>re are learning about all ofthe health careers and planning for their future. This field trip was a great oppor– tunity for the studerrts to see and experience the college atmosphere and life in the world of healthcare. Health Sciences Q>re Is taught by PennyWells, RN.
