EC teams advance to state tournament

The East Central men quailed for the single elimi– nation event as the south's number four seed with an 8- 6 division mark and an overall 13-11 record under second-year head coach Robert Thompson. The Warriors were scheduled to begin first– round action by taking on north cllvision number one seed Holmes Community College at 2:45 p.m. Tues– day, Feb. 24. The Bulldogs finished 18- 5 overall and 11-1 in the north dlvision. ECCC and Holmes did not face each other during the r egular season. Semi-finals are scheduled at 2:45 and 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. The Lady Warriors were scheduled to begin first– round action by taking on north division number three seed Holmes Commu– nity College at 2:45 p.m. Monday on the Wesson campus. The East Central women qualified for the ingie elim– ination event as the south's number two seed with a 10- 4 division mark and an overall 19-1 record under third-year head coach Crandal Porter. Holme finished the reg– ular se.ason 1&-7 overall and 7-5 in the North Division. The Lady Bulldogs and the LadyWarrior did not play
