Knuth garners second MACJC 6oalkeeper of the Week award East Central Community College freshman goal– keeper Kaitlyn Knuth is the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Col– leges Women's Soccer Goal– keeper of the Week for her play in the state tournament. Knuth, a product of Collinsville and West Laud– erdale High School, played 195 minutes in goal in two games, giving up only two goals while facing 25 shots. She had 23 saves in the two contests. In a 2-0 quarterfinal shutout win over Meridian Community College Oct. 27, Knuth bad nine saves. She had 14 saves in East Cen– tral's 2-1 double overtime loss to eventual MACJC/State Region 23 Champion Pearl River Com– munity College Oct. 30. Knuth also won the award the first week of the season giving up no goals and mak– ing four saves in 90 minutes in goal in a 2-0 East Central • victory over Meridian on : Aug. 2t.
