East Central Community Col– lege's women's soccer and softball teams have been named best in the nation in their respective sports for academic excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association for 2014-15. The East Central women's soc– cer program was named the NJCAA Women's Soccer Academ– ic Team of the Year and the women's softball team was named the NJCAA Women's Softball Academic Team of the Year.
