While the former Notre Dame, Tulane and NFL quarterback certainly enjoys winning football games, the East Central Community College head football coach quickly points out that the scoreboard does not dictate who be is as a person, nor does it determine the success of his team. "Iwin everyday," Karcher said. "II win– ning is based only on the scoreboard that means every (Thursday), Friday, Satur– day, and Sunday that 50 percent of the coaches out there are losers. Sports tells people that their performance is their identity. Sports is what you do, it isn't who you are. Ninety percent of all coaches and athletes let their perform– ance determinewho they are."
