OXFORD - The football career of Oxford's Tre Gamble is far from over.

' "It feels great," Gamble said after a signing ceremony at Oxford's gymnasium. "I'm ready to get to East Central and s tart the next part ofmy career. It's going to be great. He rushed for 1,473 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns after changing positions midscason. He also had 664 recei~ing yards and five scores. Gamble's position cbange and overall athleticism has made him the best offensive player Herriog bas coached, the coach said. "I think ifhe was going to Auburn or East (Central) Mississippi, he would show up and be a standout guy," Herring said. "There's no doubt in my mind. I know be can do that."

Gamble committed to East Central on Sunday following a '"isit to campus.
