"East Central Community College has seen a significant growth in online enroll– ment in the past decade, which has result– ed in an immediate need to expand our testing services and facilities, and this grant will help us achieve the first phaso of a three-phase process," LeBrun said. ECCC's eLeaming Education Program will move to a larger physical location in fall 2015 to better accommodate the increasing online enrollment. The new location will include expanded office and lounge space to allow faculty and staff to

better serve students and a testing center that accommodates 29 testing carrels and proctoring computers to replace the 14 testing stations availabl~ in the current location. LeBrun said that ECCC currently serv– ices about 5,000 online testing and proc– tored examinations each semester. "Doubling the capacity of our testing center will give us a facility that is compa– rable to national standards and ensures academic integrity and reliable proctoring services using the most state-of-the-art

technology," she said. The expanded testing center will allow for future implementation of non-tradi– tional services for peak, night, and week– end testing, as well as be ADA compliant. The grant also will support profession– al development for eLeaming faculty on canvas, the learning management system that East Central uses to deliver online instruction. "It is important that our instructors have opportunities to learn new and emerging technologies," LeBrun said. u. I
