ECCC President Billy Stewart said, "We are grate– ful to our state legislative del- egation, Central Transportation Commis- sioner Dick Hall and the many others who provided assistance in securing these grant funds. "The improvements to our campus and town are not only aesthetically pleasing, but most importantly, this area is now much safer for our students and the commu– nity." Participating in the pro– gram will be Hall, Stewart, Rep. Randy Rushing, De– catur Mayor P~t O'Neill and Alderman Mark Buntyn, and EC trustees .Jimmy Hollingsworth and Jerry Smith.

DECATUR - Officials from East Central Commu– nity College and the Town of Decatur will P.articipate in a joint ribbon-cutting cere– mony May 12 to officially dedicate the completion of pm.ing, sidewalk, and light– ing proje<.'ts. The ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on the front lawn of the college's Richard C. Ethridge Hall. The public is invited. The projects were made possible by Surface Trans– portation Program and Transportation Alternatives Program grant funding pro– vided through theMississippi Department of Transporta- tion. \
